While on route to Nepal from India, we got friendly with this Canadian guy who'd be on the road for the last 8 years. He looked a spritely 30ish, so you can imagine our amazement when he announced he was 42!
Anyway, what was also quite astonishing is that his entire worldly possessions consisted of a small sports sack containing only one spare change of clothes and a few sanitary items! I couldn't help feeling a little foolish with my large cougar backpack absolutely stuffed to bursting.
Next time I go, I'm tempted to go for this minimalist approach and see what happens. Has anyone here travelled in this style, and if so how did you get on?
